I honestly don’t go to the gym as much as I use to in college and I have no excuse. Sometimes I seriously find myself taking hours to even mentally prepare to going to the gym. For people who are sometimes lazy like me or don’t have a desire to go to the gym, there’s other things you can do at home to lose weight and feel comfortable about your body. With these four suggestions below, the key to losing weight period is DISCIPLINE! After discipline, SELF-CONTROL is a MUST!
1) Eating healthy!
Yeah, I know unhealthy food is cheap and some unhealthy food actually taste pretty good, but in order to shed the pounds you have to be strict with your diet. Get rid of those tempting foods!! Try going a week without fried, sugary foods, bread, and watch that weight start shedding. You can even see it fall off faster the longer you give up these foods. Buy veggies and fruits! There’s so many inexpensive recipes online….me personally I love fresh veggies, but the frozen ones can be more affordable and last longer for people trying to save money… If you love your meats, try adding light seasoning and pan searing them on the stove with oil instead of frying it!
2) Online workout videos
You don’t have to go out paying for P190 or X150 (whatever these workout names are- lol, I seriously don’t know) …but why waste money on workout videos when you have so many for free online. Use online Youtube fitness videos to get you motivated to sweating and moving your body.
There are literally hundreds of Youtube workout videos you can do at home. Once again, it goes back to how disciplined you are. You can start off by doing 5 minutes and later moving up to 30mins, to an hour of total fitness, etc. The biggest joy about working out at home is you can literally wear whatever!
Find a track of trail in your community or even walk around your neighborhood if you feel comfortable. You can walk to shed pounds, jog, or do running. The key to making this work is staying consistent. It’s also good with walking because you can take your child, your husband/wife, your boyfriend/girlfriend, or even do it alone if you choose to.
4) Drink water!
Yes it’s hard, but if you drink soda, juice, alcohol, and sugary drinks, challenge yourself by giving it all up for WATER for a WEEK! If you can do a week, you will later be able to do a month, and then maybe even longer than that.
Don't forget to take the poll at the end of the blog!!
Thank you for coming to read my blog. Continue having a bless week!
