Think about your life and all the things you do. Do they exemplify God or your flesh?
Do you want bits and pieces of God or do you truly desire to have a close relationship with him?
Don’t allow what passes as good, rob you of what is best for your life. Don’t allow flattery to blind your sense of discernment.
This was probably my favorite chapters from the book. It really tugged on my heart on what was mentioned. Why should we even follow Christ? Well one reason I do is because of who he is! He’s The Creator, The Master, The KING OF THE UNIVERESE! I can go on and on…………
Desiring God is when you want to commit and obey!
Commit = covenant (not optional), relationship, submission
Obey= willing, embracing God’s will, giving up old lifestyle
*Remember* Desiring God is a decision you have to make.
God has never demanded a person to be perfect in order to follow Jesus. He only ask for the willingness and commitment to obey HIM!
Are you willing to truly commit and obey?
Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. Mark 8:34-35
Remember that salvation is found in the true off life. The tree of life is the word. When you know better, strive to do better.
Side note* This blog doesn’t even compare to how good this chapter of the book was. It goes into more details and realistic examples that every man and woman can relate to.
God bless you.
