He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the LORD.
What made me go to the wedding? I decided to go to this wedding because I attended the same campus ministry and church with the bride and groom. I thank God for Heart of Faith Ministries, (the founder) Elder Carter, and his wife Mrs. Kellye! It’s beautiful to see how much we’ve grown in Christ since our college years.
The wedding was simply beautiful. I was blown away by the décor and the entire atmosphere + the food was THE BOMB!
What was my favorite part about the wedding? The bride and groom speeches were my favorite parts about the wedding. It was amazing to hear how the groom hadn’t touched his wife (in a sexual manner) until tonight (their wedding night)! He mentioned that it wasn’t easy, but it was worth the wait. They’ve both been tempted, but he stated, “It takes a strong person to stand up for what is right.” He elaborated more and it was completely relatable. Being a young couple and striving to court God’s way is admirable, but you will get tested with temptation at times! The question is...do you give in to temptation just because that's what your flesh wants to do or do you refrain from sexual desires in order to please God?
One thing that I can say, when you come into the knowledge of Christ, he will give you strength....but are you trusting, praying and casting your cares to the Lord during your tempting times? ....
My thoughts on marriage? I have a lot I could say here… Whether you’re a virgin or you’ve stopped having sex to honor God before marriage, I applaud you! It takes a lot of self-control and discipline! Throughout it all, marriage is beautiful!
There were several other aspects from the wedding I enjoyed, but I wanted to keep this blog short and to the point.
May God continue to bless the Anthony’s! I love you two!
